A further 1.5 km ascent from Tungnath takes you to the summit of Chandrashila, meaning "Moon Rock," perched at an elevation of 13,123 ft.

Conquering the Pinnacle: Mt. Satopanth 7075M
In the year 2022, Mt. Satopanth witnessed not one but two successful summits by brave mountaineers. The first ascent took place on 12th June 2022, followed by a second triumphant climb on 26th August 2022.
Both teams were led by the exceptional Shailesh Semwal, a leader whose passion for the mountains is unmatched. His determination and skill not only guided the teams to success but also inspired the founding of Sato Path Expedition, an initiative dedicated to exploring and conquering untamed peaks.
These remarkable achievements highlight the resilience, teamwork, and unyielding spirit of the climbers who dared to challenge one of the Himalayas' majestic giants.
